CHALLENGE
CAASCO needed to optimize its IT operations to better support critical systems like SAP and VMware while reducing operational overhead on its IT and SAP Basis teams. They lacked proactive visibility into performance and system issues and required streamlined processes to ensure service reliability and agility for their members.
SOLUTION
IT-Conductor partnered with CAASCO through the AWS ISV Workload Migration Program to modernize and centralize monitoring and automation. IT-Conductor replaced legacy tools with a cloud-based platform on AWS that delivered advanced application and infrastructure performance monitoring, dynamic dashboards, multi-channel alerting, file-watcher monitoring for critical data operations, and automated incident response. The platform provided deep insights and real-time responsiveness based on best-practice templates and secure, agentless onboarding.
IMPACT
CAASCO gained proactive visibility into its SAP and infrastructure environments, enabling early issue detection and more reliable system operations. Automated monitoring, alerting, and incident workflows reduced manual effort for IT teams while improving response times and operational efficiency. As a result, CAASCO strengthened system reliability, enhanced service continuity for its members, and empowered internal teams with greater confidence and agility in managing mission-critical workloads in the cloud.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is AWS monitoring?
AWS monitoring is the process of tracking and analyzing the performance, availability, and resource usage of your Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. It helps ensure that cloud infrastructure, such as EC2 instances, RDS databases, and EBS storage, runs efficiently and securely.
What is the default monitoring service to monitor AWS resources?
The default monitoring service in AWS is Amazon CloudWatch. It automatically collects and tracks key metrics, such as CPU utilization, disk I/O, and network activity, for most AWS resources. CloudWatch also provides basic alarms, logs, and dashboards to help you visualize performance and detect issues.
However, while CloudWatch focuses on infrastructure-level data, platforms like IT-Conductor extend monitoring to include end-to-end automation, cross-system visibility, and SAP workload correlation, giving you deeper operational insight across your entire environment.
Does IT-Conductor integrate with AWS CloudWatch?
Yes. IT-Conductor supports AWS CloudWatch retrievers that can retrieve aggregated metric data from VPN Gateways, VPC, and more EC2 instance metrics, as well as EBS storage volumes.
Does IT-Conductor support monitoring hybrid environments?
Yes. IT-Conductor provides unified visibility across AWS, on-premise systems, and other cloud environments. It correlates AWS CloudWatch metrics with application and infrastructure performance across your hybrid or multi-cloud landscape, helping you identify dependencies, bottlenecks, and cross-system issues more easily.
